An ideal day for our family would be something like this: camping/cabin on water, wake up, brew coffee, read and chat with God, do a coffee run (aka slalom ski behind the boat while the others in the boat sip on their coffees bundled up in their pj’s), eat a good breakfast of eggs, toast and juiced veggies, workout, do some more reading, swim, play, eat lunch, chat, play on the water, repeat.
Doesn’t that sound glorious?
Now let’s talk about the workout. Up in the mountains means no gym and no equipment. We say no problem!
We camp ALL of the time, and wanted to share a little (and simple) workout with you, being we just came off of a big camping weekend.
Grab a piece of firewood, a rock, basically whatever you can find that’s heavy. You can even do this in your backyard!
Aim for 5 rounds (or more if you’re feeling spunky.)
Enjoy the great outdoors! Check out the video!
The Details:
12-15 squat presses
12-15 lunges
12-15 Bent rows
12-15 push-ups with a mountain climber
2 minutes of jogging/walking/biking/climbing (we find a destination, and jog or bike there and back) *sidenote* while my hubby and I jogged together, we prayed for different people on our hearts. It was a love tank filler for me! Even if you’re running solo, target different people in prayer so not only do you aim some love their way, you ALSO don’t think about your body on the run. It’s a win/win. *end sidenote*
repeat 5x’s
