The Fruit of Our Lips

Today the power of my words are, again, on my mind.  I think about what/who has had the biggest impact on me, whether good or bad, and most of the memories are people’s words.  I have eaten both the good and bad fruit of someone’s lips, and likewise, have spoken both types of fruits.

I was reading in Proverbs this morning, and it said in chapter 10 verse 11 that “the mouth of the righteous is a well of life.“  I want my words to bring life!  It said it bit further down in verse 20 that our tongue, when used correctly, is like choice silver.  And my favorite, “the lips of the righteous feed many.”

People are feeding off our words every day.  The question is, how is the diet of those around us?  Are they eating nasty, rotten fruit?  Or juicy, delicious, grown from well-of-life fruit?  I want people around me to leave feeling better!   Our words have nutritional value, and they great effect the lives around us.

The fruit of our lips comes from where our hearts are, and where our hearts are is where our minds are. :)   Audrey Hepburn once said, “the prettiest girls are the happiest girls.”  Happy girls = happy words= good feeding for the people around us.

So today, be on the lookout for blessings!  Be on the lookout for things for which to be grateful!  This will NO DOUBT influence our words.  Every day our words will feed many, and we want our families, friends, and co-workers to be eating on some good, juicy fruit!

More on our thoughts and the power of the mind here.   (couple of videos on youtube)

Have an ABUNDANTLY blessed day!  :)
