Clearly we like mud! This was a duathalon my sister and I completed—running and biking with a mud pit to congratulate finishers! I felt motivated to get fit because 1) it was a competition, 2) I love mountain biking 3) my sister is an unofficial professional runner and I did not want to hold her back!
What do you enjoy doing? For some it’s dance, for others it’s hula hooping, while others enjoy a family hike.
Do you like:
water? Then swim!
the outdoors? Then hike or mountain bike or take a walk!
chatting? Then grab some people and start a walk/run ‘club.’
competition? Sign up for an event.
Time will pass faster, and you will look forward to your activities if you pair it with something enjoyable! Try a class at a gym. Or get together and make it a family affair.
The good news is there isn’t a formula you have to follow to get fit. It just makes it a bit more fun if you combine activity + enjoyable= your path to getting fit!
