Mythbuster: Spot Training Works

People always ask, “How do I slim my thighs?  How do I get rid of my love handles?”  Although moves target certain areas of your body, “spot training,” or training one area alone does NOT work! 

So what does work, you might be asking?  My first question is:  What do you eat?  Nutrition is 75% of your success.  So we can tackle that in another blog entry!

The second question I’d ask is “how much weight lifting are you doing?”  Then the third:  “How much cardio activity are you doing?”

You see, your body is like a machine.  There are certain parts that may need some extra care, but overall maintenance is usually what helps it run more smoothly. 

General advice:  lift weights 2-3 times/week.  Get your heart rate up (aka cardio) 4-5 times a week, and eat LOW TO THE GROUND.  Lots of colors on your plate. 

Each of these questions is a full on seminar!  So hire a trainer and a nutritionist.  I can give you some general ideas in other posts, too.  You will see better changes overall if you adapt a lifestyle that’s healthy, rather than pumping out 30 repetitions of the inner thigh machine.  Make sense? 

If you remember only one thing:  what you eat is 3/4 of your success!!
